Best Read of the Year (so far)

“The same universe that dispassionately takes things away can bring you things you weren’t imaginative enough to dream up.”

📚🍷Funny Story by Emily Henry🍷📚

I could almost feel the reading slump loading when I read the last page. I’m not sure another book will top this one for me. The writing, the story, the characters, all of it stole my heart and I’m not sure how I feel about it being over.

The story of Funny Story 📖:

Daphne had the perfect life. Her fiancé? Perfect. Her job? Perfect? Her fiancé’s family and friends? Perfectly suited for her to slide herself into. Until the day after of Peter’s bachelor party, when he tells her he’s actually been in love with his childhood best friend and he’s breaking off the engagement. That’s how Daphne has found herself roomies with Petra’s (said childhood best friend) ex-boyfriend.

My thoughts 💭:

THIS is peak romcom for me. I giggled and snorted, but also kicked my feet and swooned. Also I cried, but honestly it’s not hard to make me cry. Every Emily Henry book I read I think can’t be topped, but I really, really don’t think this one ever will be. Devoured it in less than 24 hours. Would absolutely read it again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌶️🌶️(more like 1.5, and the scenes were perfect)
