If I put fresh cool water in a vessel refreshing water will come out, likewise if I put bitter water in a vessel, bitter water will flow out. My question to you is which one would you want to drink when you’re in a hot dry season?
Our actions and responses to others reflect what’s inside of us. If we show kindness, love , patience and compassion we are sharing a soul refreshing gift that quenches the heart and spirit, but if our actions are selfish, indifferent, ungrateful and unkind we are sharing nothing but bitterness, hate, indifference and darkness because our water is clouded with the bitter sediment of unforgivness, anger, distrust and hate. Remember to think about how you act and respond and remember to check what’s inside your proverbial pitcher because what comes out reflects what’s inside.
James 3:11-13 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. 13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
Remember each day is a new chance to get it right so remember to make it a great day for yourself and others, the choice is yours. 💕😊

... Read moreLiving by the analogy of water in a vessel, I’ve come to realize how truly our inner mindset influences not only our actions but also how others perceive and react to us. When I consciously choose to fill my heart with kindness and compassion each morning, I notice the positive responses I receive throughout my day, much like pouring fresh water that refreshes those who drink it.
Conversely, when stress or negativity clouds my thoughts, it’s like filling a pitcher with bitter water—what flows out tends to repel others and fosters an environment of distrust and harshness. This personal experience aligns deeply with the wisdom found in James 3:11-13, which reminds us that a single source cannot produce both sweet and bitter water, urging us to nurture goodness within ourselves.
One practical step I’ve adopted is daily self-reflection: pausing to assess whether my 'pitcher' holds bitterness or sweetness. It’s a powerful habit that has helped me choose patience over frustration and forgiveness over anger, especially during challenging times.
Remember, kindness is not merely an act but a genuine reflection of your soul, as highlighted in the inspiring quote from the article’s image. Embracing this truth transformed my approach to relationships and challenges alike. Each day truly is a fresh chance to make an intentional choice—just as fresh water quenches thirst, kindness and love can nourish both our hearts and those around us.
By understanding and applying this daily motivation, anyone can foster a more peaceful, joyful, and meaningful life experience. Why not start today, choosing to be the source of refreshing kindness that others can rely on?
