THE THINKING GAME: REMEMBER

Before the world told you who to be…

you were here.

Before the labels.

Before the fear.

Before the opinions.

Before the endless noise.

You were here.

Not as a name.

Not as a role.

Not as a story.

Just awareness.

Present.

Alive.

Free.

Somewhere along the way…

you forgot.

You became the thoughts.

The worries.

The expectations.

The character.

And now you spend your life trying to become what you already are.

The thinking game ends the moment you stop searching for yourself…

and remember.

🔥

You are not lost.

You are remembering.

... Read moreI’ve found that the journey inward—beyond the noise and expectations society places on us—is a powerful way to rediscover who we really are. Often, we get so caught up in the roles and stories assigned to us that we forget our original state of just being awareness, alive and free. There was a time in my life when I constantly sought validation through achievements and external identity. It felt like I was endlessly chasing something intangible. But when I paused and practiced mindfulness, focusing on the present moment without judgment, I realized that the ‘character’ I had built was just a collection of thoughts and worries—none of which defined my essence. The thinking game ends when we stop identifying with our fears or societal expectations and simply remember that underneath it all, we are not lost—we’re remembering our true self. This remembering is like waking up from a long dream where we forgot our freedom. Incorporating daily moments of stillness and awareness can deeply support this process. Whether through meditation, journaling, or quiet reflection, these practices help peel away the layers of labels and expectations. Over time, they reveal the present moment—the state of being where pure awareness resides. This resonance with presence doesn’t just bring peace, it restores a sense of aliveness and freedom that’s always been there but obscured. If you feel overwhelmed by the endless noise or trapped by your character’s story, try stepping back and simply observing your thoughts without attachment. Recognize that you are neither those thoughts nor the worries—they are just passing experiences. Remembering who you truly are can be transformative. It’s not about becoming someone new, but about reconnecting with the self that’s been here all along, free from labels, fear, and story. This awareness invites us to live more fully, embracing each moment with clarity and openness.
