"Most people are not looking for truth, but for confirmation of what they already believe."
When this idea is linked to horoscopes, life graphs and lifestyle choices, we can look at it psychologically and spiritually.
1. Psychologically
The Mechanism of Unacceptance of Truth (Ego & Cognitive Dissonance)
When predictions or reality contradict what we desire (for example, love this person very much, do not want to lose), the brain is confused and painful.
Self-protection mechanism
Humans choose to "reject" or "stubborn" greetings, because accepting the truth on a day when eyes are full of love is too painful to accept.
Want to hear what you want to hear
Most people walk to the fortune teller, not wanting to hear the "painful truth," but wanting to hear "the affirmation that what I choose is right."
2. Spiritual
Life graphs are "blueprints," but humans have "free will."
