Okayyy so I went into Sephora to smell all 4 scents and I honestly LOVE all of them it was so hard to choose 😩 It was between this one and the yellow one but I went with this one cause purples my favorite color (in case you didn’t know by now lol). I will definitely be purchasing the yellow one next!! The only thing I will say is that it didn’t last as long on me as I would’ve hoped :( (I might have to do another wear test wearing a body oil first and then spraying it on). But I wanna hear thoughts, which did you guys end up buying??
... Read moreOkay, fellow fragrance lovers, let's dive deeper into the world of Jackie Aina's new perfume collection! Like many of you, I've been so excited for her foray into fragrance, and trying them out was an absolute must. While my initial post touched on my first impressions, there's so much more to unpack, especially if you're trying to decide which gem to add to your collection.
I ended up taking home the stunning purple bottle, which I believe is 'Pink Moon.' It truly feels like a spring scent encapsulated, with a beautiful blend that's both inviting and sophisticated. When I first sprayed it, I immediately picked up hints of delicate florals, perhaps a touch of sweet fruit, grounded by a soft, comforting musk. It's not overly heavy, making it perfect for daytime wear or a soft evening out. The bottle itself, with its beautiful facets and gold lettering, feels luxurious and looks incredible on my vanity, just as the image with the purple bottle suggests.
The yellow one, often referred to as 'Cosmic Bloom,' was a very close second for me. It had a brighter, more effervescent quality, perhaps with more citrus or tropical notes, offering a completely different but equally captivating experience. What I appreciate about Jackie's entire collection is how distinct each scent is, yet they all carry a signature of modern elegance and wearability. It’s clear she put a lot of thought into crafting a range that appeals to diverse preferences, truly offering a 'collection' rather than just a few similar perfumes.
Now, about the wear time – this is often a hot topic with any new fragrance. As I mentioned, 'Pink Moon' didn't last as long on my skin as I'd hoped, but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve that often help. First, hydrated skin is key! Before spraying, always moisturize with an unscented lotion or, even better, a body oil. Applying a matching or neutral body oil before your perfume creates a beautiful base that clings to the scent molecules, helping them last much longer. I'm definitely going to try this with 'Pink Moon' next. Also, focus on pulse points like your wrists, neck, and behind the ears, as the warmth helps diffuse the fragrance throughout the day. Layering with a complementary body wash or lotion can also boost its staying power. Don't forget to spray a little on your clothes too – fabric tends to hold scent for ages!
Overall, I'm genuinely impressed with Jackie Aina's perfume collection. Each fragrance feels thoughtfully created, and while I have my favorites, I encourage everyone to give them a sniff at Sephora if you can. They really do offer something special for a variety of moods and occasions. I'm still eyeing that yellow bottle for my next purchase! What about you? Have you tried any of Jackie's fragrances? Which one is your favorite, and do you have any secret tips for making scents last longer? Share your thoughts below – I'd love to hear them!
