HOT TAKE! Gentle parenting is NOT for everyone!
There seems to be a big thing of suddenly if you don’t gentle parent you’re a TERRIBLE parent. I get that some of us (MYSELF included) went through horrible things and we grew from them. Some of us broke generational traumas and some may be struggling to break them or may have passed them on. For ME AND MY HOUSE. My kids get spanked. And no it isn’t the first or even third line of defense when they are acting up. I start with a time out from fun activities, next I take device time or the device itself. Then it’s early bed time, finally they will get popped. This is all after I’ve said why I told them to stop whatever it is they are doing. NO I’m not beating them. But just like I don’t say “oh you’re a bad parent!” All because your kid hit you and threw things at you and you still try to gentle parent them after they continue the behavior. You should NOT say oh you’re a bad parent because I do not parent how you do. As long as it’s not abuse, I’m all for a quick pop, or spanking. It is what works for me. How you do things is how YOU do things. And don’t start with the police and CPS either because I’ve seen first hand someone call the police because they got popped and they said it’s not abuse unless it’s fists, or other extremes, a pop to the hand or butt is FINE. #cozychats#lemon8challenge#parentingunfiltered #isaidwhatisaid #fyp

I agree. I feel like soo many people today have become "soft" they allow their kids to act any way and talk to not only them any way but other adults as well. I even have witnessed a kid push his mom when he had an attitude in public. it's outrageous now days. can't correct anyone anymore either because then it's a big ordeal
