Do NOT wait and collect your gift cards. I sadly did that and am taking a loss as some low life used the gift cards and left only $30. I reached out to gogift and they are no support. They confirmed it wasn’t my email used to redeem. Yet said that can’t tell me what email (I didn’t expect the full email but like the way you can recognize and email to verify stuff, like on TikTok settings if you try to change email) but they said no and they won’t tell me where it was redeemed but gave date of redemption. They said to contact the police and they will give them the information. It is definitely suspicious that they can see it wasn’t an email tied to me but won’t help. So my loss is someone’s gain. And that’s why I don’t take these challenges that serious like I see others do.

BEWARE: always take the GC and cash out right away. Also screenshot EVERYTHING ALWAYS.

... Read moreBased on my own experience with gift card scams, I strongly advise anyone receiving gift cards from promotions or challenges to act immediately. Waiting too long can be risky; scammers often monitor unused or unredeemed cards and redeem them quickly. In my case, after trusting the process and delaying cashing out, I lost a significant portion of the gift card value to an unknown party. When I contacted the issuer, they wouldn’t provide details on the email used for redemption or the whereabouts of the redemption except for the date, which was frustrating and unhelpful. To protect yourself from similar losses, always cash out your gift cards right away. This reduces the window scammers have to hack or redeem them fraudulently. Additionally, screenshot every step of your transaction—when you receive the gift card, when you redeem it, and any confirmation messages. These screenshots serve as important evidence if you need to report fraud to authorities or the gift card company. It’s also smart to be cautious about offers that seem too good to be true, especially those requiring you to collect or hold onto gift cards. Scammers often exploit such challenges because people get excited about free rewards but may overlook security risks. Remember, legitimate companies usually have straightforward redemption processes and customer service willing to assist you. If you ever suspect fraud, contact both the gift card provider and your local law enforcement immediately. Although in my situation support was disappointing, law enforcement might be able to follow up with information providers for resolution. Ultimately, protecting digital and physical assets like gift cards means being proactive, secure, and vigilant each step of the way. Sharing my story hopes to warn others so they don’t fall victim to similar scams.

How did they use it if you are supposed to use your own email? And the gift cards go to your email? Unless someone hacked into yours no one should be able to use it. I never had a problem with my gift cards and still have some from months ago.
