I love me some skincare. I mean I have different brands of the same type of product and all. I love a clay mask and food for the pores?! Oh sign me up! This however I can’t get over the smell. I am a smell person. The texture is odd as well but I could deal. The smell is unique. Anyone else have thoughts? 💭 tried it?

I will say it does make the skin feel good after but it’s a no for me 5/10

... Read moreAs someone who loves experimenting with various skincare products, especially clay masks, I was intrigued by the Beplain Mung Bean Pore Clay Mask because mung bean is often praised for its skin-beneficial properties like soothing and detoxifying. However, like many skincare enthusiasts, scent plays a huge role in whether I enjoy a product or not. When I first tried this mask, the smell definitely caught me off guard. Unlike other clay masks that tend to have a more earthy or neutral scent, the Beplain mask has a distinct aroma that's a bit unusual—it’s a combination of natural ingredients that isn’t typically seen in masks at this price point. For those sensitive to fragrance, this might be a dealbreaker, but for others who appreciate natural scents, it could be a unique signature. The texture of this mask is somewhat different from the creamy or powder-based clay masks I'm used to. It feels slightly grainy or uneven during application but spreads well enough over the skin. Importantly, after rinsing, my skin definitely felt refreshed, visibly cleaner, and smoother. The mung bean extract seems effective in helping reduce pore congestion, making the skin feel like it has had a deep cleanse. From my personal experience, even though I struggled with the smell, I appreciate how it revitalizes my skin. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a mask that works well on pores, but I’d recommend testing a small amount first if you’re sensitive to strong or unusual scents. For those willing to overlook the aroma, the results post-mask application are satisfying, balancing out the hesitation regarding smell and texture. In summary, while the Beplain Mung Bean Pore Clay Mask may not win the aroma battle for everyone, its effectiveness on pore cleansing and skin texture enhancement makes it worth a try—especially if you enjoy skincare products with natural ingredients. Knowing this helps set realistic expectations and makes the experience more enjoyable.
