Navigating a Layoff

One year ago, I was laid off from a company where I spent nearly 7 years of my career.

As a six-figure earner, I learned that preparation matters just as much as income. My faith, family, savings, investments, and willingness to use available resources helped me navigate one of the most uncertain seasons of my life.

I also rediscovered my creativity—reopening my Etsy shop and investing more into D. Simone Creates.

A layoff changed my circumstances, but it didn’t change my value.

What felt like a setback became a season of growth. ✨
