LOW CALORIE STARBUCKS: Iced peppermint mocha
This is one of my new favorite winter drinks that is only 75-80Cals!! I got this recipe from @themacrobarista. I added sugar free vanilla and stevia as well
Ask for:
-Grande cold brew
-Light cream(1/4 inch)- can sub almond or oat milk
- 1 pump mocha sauce
- 1 pump peppermint
- 2 sf vanilla
Note: it might be more calories with the amount of cream they pour but this is just an estimate:)

Who else loves the festive flavors of Starbucks' Peppermint Mocha but dreads the calorie count? I totally get it! That’s why I was thrilled to discover how to create a delicious, low-calorie Iced Peppermint Mocha that tastes amazing, just like the one I shared. It’s become my go-to, especially when I want that holiday vibe without derailing my health goals. Now, I want to share even more tips to help you enjoy your favorite Starbucks drinks guilt-free! One of the biggest game-changers for low-calorie drinks is smart syrup choices. While my recipe uses 1 pump of mocha and 1 pump of peppermint, plus sugar-free vanilla, you can experiment! Starbucks offers other sugar-free options like Cinnamon Dolce, Caramel, and Hazelnut. Always ask for sugar-free syrups and remember that each pump of regular syrup can add around 20 calories and significant sugar. You can also ask for fewer pumps of even the sugar-free options if you prefer less sweetness. Next up, let's talk about milk alternatives. My recipe suggests light cream (just a splash!) or almond/oat milk. Almond milk is generally the lowest in calories among the non-dairy options at Starbucks. Oat milk can be a bit higher in calories but offers a creamier texture. If you're really watching calories, ask for just a splash of your chosen milk or even skip it and go for a black iced coffee base if it suits your taste. The cold brew base in my recipe is fantastic because it's naturally smoother and less acidic than espresso, making it easier to enjoy with minimal additions. Don't forget to customize your toppings! Whipped cream, caramel drizzle, chocolate shavings – they add a lot of calories quickly. It's easy to ask for 'no whip' or 'no drizzle' when ordering. For that festive feel, sometimes just a sprinkle of cinnamon powder can do the trick without adding extra calories. And speaking of ordering, have you ever noticed those beautiful iced coffee beverages in clear cups? It's not just for aesthetics; it often means it's a customized drink! When you order a specialty drink with specific modifications, especially regarding milk or flavored syrups, baristas will often use a clear cup, which is great for seeing your perfectly crafted, low-calorie creation. It’s also a visual reminder of your healthy choice! For accuracy, I highly recommend using the Starbucks mobile app to place your customized order. The app allows you to meticulously select your cold brew base, specific number of syrup pumps (including sugar-free options), and milk type. This ensures your barista prepares your drink exactly as you intend, eliminating any guesswork or potential miscommunications. Plus, it's super convenient and you can often earn rewards! Beyond the Peppermint Mocha, think about other low-calorie iced options. An unsweetened Iced Green Tea or a plain Iced Coffee (black or with a splash of almond milk) are fantastic choices if you need a simpler, very low-calorie pick-me-up. Don't be afraid to experiment with different sugar-free syrups in these bases too. Enjoying your favorite Starbucks drinks doesn't have to mean sacrificing your health goals. With a few smart swaps and knowledge of customization, you can still treat yourself to delicious, low-calorie iced beverages all year round!
