... Read morePeanut butter crunch balls are a fantastic option for anyone looking for a sweet yet healthy snack. What I love about this recipe is that it balances rich flavors with nutritional benefits, especially for those watching their calorie intake. I often keep these balls in my fridge to help curb my sweet cravings without feeling guilty. Adding puffed quinoa or crushed rice cake adds an interesting texture and keeps the carbs moderate, while the protein powder supports muscle recovery. Using sugar-free maple syrup or regular syrup lets you control the sweetness to your preference, and the touch of vanilla gives a lovely aroma to the mix. Topping them with melted chocolate mixed with coconut oil not only enhances the taste but also helps the chocolate set smoothly after freezing. Lily’s chocolate, as mentioned, is an excellent low-sugar choice if you want to keep sugars low. From personal experience, freezing the balls for at least 20-30 minutes is key to getting the perfect firm bite. Plus, they are easy to take on the go for busy days or post-workout refueling. If you want to customize, you can try different protein powder flavors or add a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra warmth. Macros are quite balanced with approximately 81 calories per ball, about 5 grams of fat, 7 grams of carbs, and close to 4 grams of protein, making them a smart option for a fat loss guide or anyone tracking macros. These protein balls fit well into calorie deficit dessert plans, providing satisfaction without excess calories. Overall, this recipe is a tasty, convenient, and effective way to enjoy a guilt-free treat while maintaining nutritional goals.
