I may or may not have bought 4 Klondike flavors just to figure out which one is actually worth it 👀
💵 Price: roughly $4.00-$4.50 per box of 6
Here’s my ranking:
🥇 Heath – this one surprised me the most, especially because I’ve literally never had a Heath bar before this. The chocolate shell is thick and crunchy, and the toffee actually adds texture instead of just sweetness. I didn’t expect this to be my favorite, but it’s the only one I’d consistently rebuy!
🥈 Cookies & Creme – safe, classic, and exactly what you’d expect. It was honestly a tough call because this one comes in more of an ice cream sandwich format so it wasn't exactly an apples-to-apples comparison, but ice cream flavor-wise, it wasn't as unique as Heath.
🥉 Reese’s – solid if you’re a peanut butter person. It’s rich and sweet, but definitely heavier than the others.
4️⃣ Mint Chocolate Chip – refreshing, but it didn’t hit as hard flavor-wise. However, I also know that Mint is one of those flavors that some people swear by; just not for me personally!
If you’re only grabbing one box, I’d say Heath has my vote! Which flavor would you pick if you could only pick one?
... Read moreAfter diving deep into those four Klondike flavors, I realized there's so much more to explore in the Klondike universe! It's not just about finding your personal #1 pick; it's about appreciating the vast range of frozen delights they offer. While my taste test focused on Heath, Cookies & Creme, Reese's, and Mint Chocolate Chip, Klondike actually boasts a much wider array of delicious ice cream bars and even some unique formats that cater to every craving.
Think beyond the classic square bar! Did you know they have everything from the iconic Original Klondike Bar with its rich vanilla ice cream enrobed in that signature thick, chocolatey shell, to other fan favorites? There's the Klondike Krunch, which amps up the texture with crispy rice mixed into the chocolate coating. For those who love a deeper cocoa experience, varieties like Double Chocolate or even Dark Chocolate have made appearances. They also cater to diverse palates with options like Neapolitan, offering a delightful trifecta of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream all in one bar. And let's not forget seasonal or limited-edition flavors that pop up, keeping the Klondike experience fresh and exciting, always encouraging you to try something new!
What truly sets Klondike apart, in my opinion, isn't just the sheer variety of flavors, but the consistent quality of that satisfying, crackable chocolate shell. It's truly a signature element that makes every Klondike bar an experience, whether it's a traditional ice cream bar or one of their newer stick formats. That initial crunch when you bite into the chocolate, followed by the creamy ice cream inside – it’s a sensory delight. This commitment to their classic design, while still experimenting with exciting new flavor combinations and formats, is what keeps me (and so many others!) coming back for more. It's a brand that has managed to maintain its beloved status for decades by balancing tradition with innovation.
I also really appreciate how accessible Klondike bars are. They're a staple in most grocery stores, making it easy to grab a box for a quick treat, to share with friends, or to stock up for movie nights. While I haven't personally ventured into trying every single Klondike product out there, like their specific ice cream cones or other less common formats, it's clear Klondike aims to offer something for everyone in the frozen dessert aisle. They continually evaluate and introduce new products, showing a clear trend of innovation within the ice cream and frozen dessert market. So, next time you're in the freezer aisle, don't just stick to the usual – take a moment to explore the full range of Klondike treasures and perhaps discover a new favorite beyond the ones I've reviewed!
:000 Reese’s is my favorite one! Give it another try
