Some snack collabs should NOT exist…🙅🏻‍♀️

Not gonna lie — I was skeptical at first about some of these flavors, but I decided to try them for movie night 🍿

Snack brands have been doing a lot of flavor swaps lately, so I picked up a few that caught my eye:

- Ruffles x Doritos Cool Ranch ($4.49) I love Ruffles and I love Cool Ranch Doritos, so this was pretty solid for me! I liked that they’re less salty than Doritos and would be open to rebuying them, but I don’t see myself ever craving these

- Cheetos x Lay’s BBQ ($4.89) my least favorite. I really wanted to like these because the flavor was designed by Madison Beer, but they lowkey tasted like hot dogs to me (and not in a good way)!!

- Oreo x Reese’s ($6) honestly these are lowkey addictive and I had to put them away before I ate the entire pack! They taste less sweet than regular Oreos because the filling is peanut butter flavored, and I’m obsessed!

I found these at @target this week, so they might still be around if you're curious to try them!

Let me know if you've tried any of these and if you agree with my takes 👀

... Read moreHey snack lovers! After diving deep into some of the latest snack brand flavor collabs, it really got me thinking about this whole trend. It seems like every week there’s a new 'flavor swap' hitting the shelves, from chocolate sandwich cookies getting a peanut butter twist to ridged potato chips trying on new tangy flavors. But are they all worth the hype? From my own taste tests and chatting with friends, it's clear: some combinations are pure genius, while others... well, let's just say they're an acquired taste! The sheer variety of these 'snack brand flavor collabs' is wild. Queries like 'Oreo Lay's' or 'Reese's Ruffles' pop up, showing just how much we're fascinated by the idea of mashing up our favorite treats. What would an 'Oreo Lay's' chip even taste like? A sweet and salty explosion, or a flavor confusion? And 'Reese's Ruffles' – would that be a chocolate-peanut butter-potato chip symphony, or just overly rich? It’s these 'what if' scenarios that make seeking out these limited-edition items so exciting. I've heard whispers of 'Oreo Cheetos' and 'Cheeto Oreos,' which honestly sound like something from a fever dream, but you know I'd probably still try them just for the experience! The idea of 'cheetos peanut butter' is another one that sparks both curiosity and a little bit of fear. Brands are constantly trying to innovate and tap into our nostalgia, and these 'flavor collabs' are a brilliant way to do it. They generate buzz, encourage discussion, and often become viral sensations. Who can forget the 'Dude Perfect flavor swap' challenges that often involve bizarre combinations? It’s a marketing genius move, but for us consumers, it’s a gamble. Sometimes you get a truly harmonious blend, like a perfectly balanced chocolate sandwich cookie with a creamy peanut butter filling. Other times, you get a combination where the distinct flavors clash, leaving you with an unsatisfying experience. My advice for navigating the world of snack collabs? Go in with an open mind, but don't be afraid to trust your intuition. If a combination like 'oreo doritos' sounds too far-fetched for your palate, it might be best to skip it. But if you're feeling adventurous, grab a bag of those cheese-flavored puffed snacks or tangy ridged chips that have been given a new twist. Read reviews (like mine!) to get a sense of what others are saying, but remember that taste is incredibly subjective. What might be a 'must-skip' for one person could be a 'new favorite' for another. These 'snack collabs' are perfect for spicing up movie night, impressing friends at a gathering, or just satisfying a curious craving. They definitely make for great conversation starters, whether you're raving about a delicious discovery or laughing about an epic fail. So, next time you're at the store, keep an eye out for these intriguing 'snack brand flavor collabs.' Have you tried any unexpected combinations lately that you loved or absolutely hated? Share your thoughts – I'd love to hear which 'snack collabs' you think are game-changers or total flops and why!
