FINALLY found a yummy GF pizza dough recipe!
Gotta share the recipe for anyone else who might be tired of cracker-consistency crusts:
• 1 Egg
• 1 tsp Baking powder
• 21/2 cups Gluten free all purpose baking flour
(I used Bob’s Red Mill and added xanthan gum)
• 1 packet Instant yeast
• 1 tsp Salt
• 1 tbsp White sugar
• 5 tbsp Olive oil
• 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
• 1 cup Water
I threw all the ingredients into my bread machine, rolled out the dough and baked 12 minutes at 475 degrees, added toppings, and baked again for 8 minutes. For looks I added melted butter to the crust once it was done. 🍕
For those with gluten sensitivities, finding a satisfying pizza dough can be a challenge. This gluten-free pizza crust recipe delivers on taste and texture, ensuring everyone can enjoy a delicious slice. You’ll need gluten-free all-purpose flour—many opt for brands like Bob’s Red Mill, which can provide the right consistency when combined with xanthan gum to mimic gluten’s elasticity. To begin, you'll mix your dry ingredients: gluten-free flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and instant yeast. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: egg, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and water, then combine both mixtures. The dough will be sticky; ensure it’s well-kneaded for proper texture. Use a bread machine to simplify the process or knead by hand if you prefer. After the dough rises, shaping it into your preferred thickness is crucial—thinner for a crispier crust and thicker for a chewier bite. Top with your favorite gluten-free sauces and toppings; consider fresh vegetables, premium cheeses, and delicious meats. Bake according to the recipe's instructions, and you’ll have a mouthwatering pizza that any guest would be thrilled to enjoy. With this easy gluten-free pizza dough recipe, pizza night just got a whole lot better!
