Cozy day in the East village!
Spend a relaxing rainy Saturday in the East Village with me!
We started the day at Duo Cafe, they are a dessert shop with Asian-inspired treats, open every day except Mondays. (11 AM - 10 PM Sunday, 12 AM - 10 PM Tuesday-Thursday, 12 AM - 11 PM Friday, and 11 AM - 11 PM Saturday). We got the tie guanyin tea with black sesame cheesecake and they also brought tangerines, it is about $20 per person. this is such a nice place to sit and chat especially when it’s lightly drizzling outside! So cozy!
After this the rain stopped a bit and we walked around checking the community gardens in the East village. One of them is called the Creative Little Garden and open from 11 AM - 6 PM everyday at 530 E 6th St. It’s decorated with cool sculptures and painted rocks and is a serene little oasis in the middle of the city.
We grabbed lunch at TOKUYAMATCHA & ONIGIRAZU BAR, about $10-$20 a person for their onigirazu, and they have so many different types! This was delicious, I highly recommend getting two different types and splitting with a friend.
