John Derian Company

John Derian Company Inc is a must-visit store if you’re in New York! It’s in the East Village at 6 E 2nd St and open every day except Monday from 11:30 - 6 PM. It has funky home decor like cake candles, moving animals, hand-blown glass ornaments, and handmade birds and shells. Prices are definitely high but it’s a beautiful place to browse and you can find something for $10-$20. John Derian is an American artist, designer, and antiques dealer, and originally rented this storefront as a studio for his decoupage work.

He realized he could pay his rent by selling his work and eventually expanded, opening his first shop in 1995 and selling to now 300 stores!
