The most creative coffee bar in Singapore

You’re excited about waking up early for coffee again. @bigshortcoffee.

We tried the drinks from their autumn menu. They refresh their signature drink menu every season. So there’s always a reason to revisit them to try out their new drinks. They offer regular coffee (from $4.50) too if you’re not into their coffee cocktails.

The whole Big Short Coffee experience starts right from the moment you enter the stores. You’ll get to see how each drink is being prepared and the staff will the time to explain the ingredients used in each drink.

This season, the most viral drink is probably their Up and Away drink which has a sugar balloon attached to it. It’s filled with helium and it changes your voice to a squeaky pitch when you inhale helium. I also prefer this drink over the other 3 drinks which we tried.

... Read moreIf you're searching for a coffee shop in Singapore that offers more than just your usual cuppa, Big Short Coffee truly stands out. Apart from their innovative helium sugar balloon drink, they emphasize transparency by letting you watch how each beverage is made while their staff shares interesting details about the ingredients. It’s more engaging than your typical cafe visit. During my visits, I noticed the seasonal menu keeps things exciting by introducing new creations regularly, encouraging repeat visits. Besides the viral Up and Away drink, they serve blends like the Pisang Yirgachelle and unique autumn-inspired options such as the Kikkoman Big Short Blend v2.0 featuring Brazil & PNG beans. These blends offer depth in flavors that appeal to coffee aficionados seeking something special. The cafe ambiance was cozy, and the blend of creative presentation and quality coffee makes it a perfect spot for coffee enthusiasts who appreciate artistry alongside taste. If you're curious about unique coffee experiences in Singapore, Big Short Coffee located at 2 Fowlie Rd is definitely worth a visit. Plus, their prices are reasonable given the creativity and taste, starting from $4.50 for regular coffee and around $8.50 for their signature drinks. Personally, I found the helium sugar balloon drink not just fun but also flavorful, making it my favorite among the options I tried. It’s great for sharing on social media too, as the playful experience sparks plenty of smiles. Overall, if you want a creative coffee experience that engages multiple senses—taste, sight, and even sound—Big Short Coffee is a must-try.
