The real-life Mario Kart experience at Sentosa
Hyperdrive is Asia’s first indoor gamified electric go-kart circuit at @sentosa_island. It is a 3-level racetrack with 14 turns.
There’s actually a cafe stand that offers snacks and drinks. There are quite a number of tables and chairs where you can chill and wait for your turn. Once your race number is called, you will have to head down to the briefing room for a short safety briefing. Watch a short safety video and you will be asked to put on the balaclava and helmets. There are lockers for you to store your belongings there. They will usher you right to the racetrack where you will hop into the go-kart and they will help put on the safety belt for you.
The whole ride was rather safe. Since you can’t reverse the kart, there will be occasions where you get stuck and the staff had to assist in reposition your go-kart. There are many sharp turns and all the straight paths are rather short so it can be rather challenging. But the slopes made the track somewhat more fun as you gain momentum as you go down the slopes. It’s rather family-friendly too.

I’d highly recommend checking the dress code beforehand to ensure you wear covered shoes and comfortable clothing. Also, the café area is perfect for relaxing between races, which is a nice touch you don’t usually see at kart circuits. Overall, Hyperdrive delivers an exhilarating indoor karting experience in Sentosa that blends safety, excitement, and convenience, truly making you feel like you’re racing in a real-life Mario Kart game.
