This work-friendly cafe has launched a new menu!

@average_service marks its first anniversary with the launch of an expanded food and beverage menu. The expanded menu now includes savoury plates, pastas, rice bowls and desserts designed for sharing. They also serve cocktails too.

We tried a few of the new dishes on their menu. Food was overall decent. The dishes that stood out to us was the flavour-forward miso roasted cabbage and the Sourdough ‘fries’. The sourdough fries were simply crispy toasted sourdough bread sticks. They are served with cold foam of 3 various flavours - strawberry, matcha and maple sea salt. It’s a fun dessert to try though it is nothing mindblowing.

These new dishes will be available from 28 Feb 2026 onwards.

Their new menu launched on 28 February 2026, introducing creative dishes like fusilli ala vodka and seared salmon mentaiko that go beyond typical cafe fare. One standout is their Trio Cloud Dip Sourdough ‘Fries,’ which offer a surprisingly fun twist on appetizers with three different cold foam flavors to try: strawberry, matcha, and maple sea salt. These add a unique texture and taste that's pleasant without overwhelming your palate during a workday lunch or afternoon treat. The cafe’s location on 315 Jalan Besar makes it accessible for those working nearby or exploring Singapore’s vibrant food scene. While prices are moderate—ranging from $7.50 for drinks to $26 for mains—the quality and ambiance justify it perfectly. For anyone who enjoys pairing their productive work hours with satisfying meals, Average Service’s new menu offers versatility and flavor that support both casual dining and relaxed working sessions. Expect a solid rating of around 4.2 out of 5 based on my experience, highlighting consistent taste and enjoyable atmosphere. I recommend trying the flavour-forward miso roasted cabbage as a must-have dish. It’s unique, hearty, and full of umami complexity that pairs beautifully with their refreshing lattes infused with matcha cold foam. Whether meeting friends, catching up on work, or just taking a relaxing break, this cafe’s enhanced menu and setting make for a welcoming and delightful experience.
