Halal-friendly matcha & coffeespot worth checking out
@waterloocoffeesg is a muslim-owned coffee and matcha bar located at Waterloo Centre. They offer matcha, coffee and bakes. They now have a cozy air-conditioned seating area with tables and chairs for customers. I have tried their drinks when they were still a home-based business. They have brought their drinks up a notch ever since then.
I tried their 3 bestsellers from their cold foam series. I was expecting the drinks to be really thick and heavy based on the description but surprisingly, the drinks are smooth, well-balanced,and pleasant to drink.
Their matcha has a slight umami with a smooth finish. It’s not as grassy or bitter. As such, you can opt for a less sweet option for the matcha drink. Don’t sleep on their coffee drinks as they are really good too.
Their regular sized (500ml) cans are actually pretty big and contains quite a lot matcha/coffee for 1 pax in my opinion. So it’s best to share it.
