The Pentagon raised its historic partnership with Scale AI (an artificial intelligence company owned by Meta to 49%), with the value of the contract gushing from $100 million to $500 million (about $1.8 billion) in just eight months! 📈

Demand for AI in the military grew so fast that the Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office had to expand its budget ceiling as a matter of urgency. Scale AI is now moving forward to develop several major national systems, such as:

✈️ SAOC, U.S. Air Force Air Operating System

🛡️ Thunderforge, a programme for in-depth strategic planning.

🏛️ Golden Dome, President Donald Trump's Defense System Project

This was pushed directly by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who wanted to reduce bureaucratic delays and speed up the deployment of AI technology to the force as quickly as possible. This deal is one of the largest AI contracts the Pentagon has ever signed with a startup. 🤝

Back in June last year, Meta invested a huge $1.43 billion in Scale AI, and it seems that that bet is producing tangible results through a national U.S. project today. 🚀
