Back in February 2012, there was an impressive story that proved the power of human-pet attachment 👩‍🦰 Nicole Graham, an Australian woman, was riding her beloved horse "Astro" along the coast near Melbourne.

But then unforeseen events occur...The natural silence causes the water to recede and leave a dangerous mud-sucking pond. The astro falls and slowly sinks into the thick mud to the level of the neck. The more the flex sinks, the more it cannot move or bring itself up...And worse, "The tide is starting again." 🌊

At the moment of death, Nicole decided to do the bravest thing...She won't leave Astro anywhere.

Nicole went into the mud and cradled the Astro's head in her arms for a full three hours. ⏳ She kept her nose and mouth out of the rising water level so that it wouldn't drown. She wouldn't let go, despite how tired her arm was, and wouldn't go anywhere to wait for help.

Until a team of firemen and rescuers arrived 🚒, they successfully pulled up the Astro! It stood up, flicked out the mud, and moved on.

Nicole's condition at the time was muddy from head to toe, exhausted and with tears in his cheeks...But in those three hours, she never thought to let go of her horse for a second. 🥺

Astro survived because she refused to leave it behind...
