🚀 Big Deal Shakes Tech! Mark Zuckerberg Shakes Hands Mukesh Ambani Throws Building 168 MW AI Data Center in India
Mark Zuckerberg continues to expand his AI empire! Most recently, Meta signed a data center lease for 168 megawatts of AI from Reliance Industries of the # 1 billionaire of India, Mukesh Ambani, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which is Meta's first data center in India. 🇮🇳💻
This super data center will be subcontracted by Reliance. Meta will be a tenant of all space to support global AI computing needs and is also designed to expand the scale further in the future. 🏗️📈
Back then, this partnership builds on a relationship that began in 2020 that Meta had invested over $5.7 billion in Reliance's Jio Platforms. Last year, the two companies also created a joint venture called "Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited" (Reliance holds 70%, Meta 30%) with an initial $100 million to develop AI solutions for enterprises using Meta's Llama model. 🤝🤖
Interestingly, the Data Center at Jamnagar is powered by "renewable energy" and uses Desalinated Seawater for the cooling system 🌊♻️. Meta will issue all energy and water costs.
🗣️ Mark Zuckerberg reveals, "This global data center will help us expand our AI infrastructure internationally and tap into long-term investment in the Indian economy."
🗣️, while Mukesh Ambani named the deal a "major turning point of digital infrastructure in India."
This big deal comes amid a fierce global tech battleground, because giants like Microsoft, Amazon and Google are also accelerating the penetration of the fast-growing Data Center market in India! 🔥
