India is setting a new record in the defense industry; behind the value of defense exports in the 2025-26 financial year, up about 62.66% (rounded to 63%) from the previous year, reaching a record high of Rs 38,424 crore (around US $4.1 billion). 📈

The interesting thing is that India no longer exports just ammunition or spare parts, but extends to high-value munitions such as

This growth is the result of Make in India policies that drive domestic production, providing opportunities for the private sector to play a greater role, including continued investment in research and development.

However, there is a point to be aware of: many media indicate that India exports weapons to more than 100 countries, but the latest Indian Defense Ministry official data indicates that more than 80 countries have been exported, so the "100 +" figure may count customers in some category or use data from other sources, so it should be presented carefully for accuracy. ✔️
