💸 Did the U.S.-Iran war really cost $100 billion?

The answer is that it may reach that level, but it is not concluded that it is "all weapons."

A June 2026 report states that the Pentagon directly estimated the cost of the war at that time at about $25 billion, while the estimated $80 billion limit notified lawmakers covered both war expenses and defense obligations, not all the value of the weapons used.

The $50,000-100 billion level is an estimate of the potential total cost, which can range from spent weapons, force movements, intelligence and logistics, base damage to weapons purchases to replenishing stockpiles, but there is no final official summary account.

🏭 What is more obvious than the numbers is that modern warfare can use expensive missiles and guided bombs at a very high rate, so the problem is not only "who has a higher weapon," but also who produces a replacement faster and keeps the war longer.

Today's war is therefore measured both on the battlefield and on the production line.
