THAAD is a U.S. mobile missile defense system designed to extract short-range, medium-range, and regional long-range missiles late in the flight path, using a "crash-to-destroy" approach instead of packing explosive warheads. 🚀

This system has successfully passed 17 of 17 target extraction tests and has been deployed in the Middle East, making THAAD one of the key protection layers when it works with Patriot, Aegis Systems and SM-3.

But the number to watch is that the U.S. military currently has only seven THAAD batteries, while globally it has 10 active systems: the U.S. 7, the UAE 2 and Saudi Arabia 1 batteries.

⚠️ The problem is not only how accurate the launch system is, but "whether there is enough," because the demand for the system and the extraction rocket is increasing faster than production, so that the United States has to accelerate the expansion of THAAD facilities.

For the Golden Dome project, this is a big problem - there is only good technology, perhaps not enough, if the number of rockets and operatives do not catch up to the threat.
