Ukraine sent about 228 experts to five countries - the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan - to help extract drones and consult air defense systems.

🛡️ The main mission of the Ukrainian team is to tackle Shahed drones, which are close in nature to the weapons used by Russia to attack Ukraine on an ongoing basis - target detection, data linkages, the use of interceptor drones, and key infrastructure protection.

However, local systems remain primarily responsible for missile extraction, while Ukrainian experts aim to manage a swarm of low-cost drones that, if expensive missiles are fired at all, may not be cost effective and cause a rapid decline in ammunition stockpiles.

🤝 cooperation is expanding into the long term, with Ukraine and Qatar signing a 10-year defense agreement covering air defense systems, anti-drone technology, AI, cybersecurity and co-production.

This is therefore not just a temporary deployment to help, but reflects that the Ukrainian war is turning the country into an exporter of modern combat technology and lessons.
