Developed by Northrop Grumman, the B － 21 Raider is a new generation of long-range stealth bombers, which will gradually replace the B － 1B Lancer and B ☆ 2 Spirit, with the United States Air Force aiming to supply at least 100 aircraft.
🛡️ B － 21 is designed to penetrate areas with dense air defense systems and support both conventional weapons and nuclear weapons, but most details of range, payload, sensors and radar absorbent materials are also classified.
A key highlight is the open system architecture, which allows for faster addition of new software, sensors and weapons, ready to be designed with maintenance and lifetime cost in mind from the beginning.
🌐 also has a flexible network and command system to exchange information with other combat forces. The concept of working with CCA drones is still in the process of consideration, so it should not be written as an active ability.
The B － 21 is currently undergoing test flights and starting low-rate production. By February 2026, the U.S. Air Force with Northrop Grumman agreed to expand production capacity, to accelerate delivery of the aircraft into service.
The B － 21 therefore featured not just stealth, but was placed at the core of long-range attacks and strategic suppression for decades to come.
