Stunning things to do in La Fortuna, Costa Rica
I love La Fortuna, Costa Rica! 🇨🇷 It’s such a gorgeous place with GREAT food, AMAZING people, and stunningly AWESOME activities!
I went on a solo trip and it completely changed my life. 🌎
Here are a few stunning things to do while visiting.
📍El Salto Rope Swing
This natural river is completely free and a must do when in La Fortuna — If you can swim of course! It’s a local spot, home to locals and tourist alike! With a beautiful view and the perfect water temperature. At first I was scared to jump in, but I faced my fears and I’m glad I did! It was one of the BEST experiences I had in Costa Rica.
📍Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges
Although this was super beautiful, I’m extremely afraid of heights so this was a doozy for me! There are 6 bridges that hang above the canopy of the rainforest. 🫣 Most of the time I was focused on crossing them, so I only got a sneak peek at the view. But if you’re brave, make sure to take a look! What I did see was INCREDIBLE!
📍La Fortuna, Waterfall
This waterfall is sight to behold! At a whopping 229 feet, it is STUNNING. I’ve never been to a water fall that big before so I was struck by it’s natural presence. It was a magical experience swimming within its waters. Be prepared though, to walk down approximately 530 steps to get to the waterfall.
📍Baldi Hot Springs
Hot Springs are a thing in Costa Rica! I only got to go to one, but it was THE BOMB! It was one of the most relaxing days of my life. Seriously. Go. I left that place feeling like every bit stress had exited my body. They have 25 thermal water pools and my favorite one was the one that was 152 Fahrenheit. 🥵🥰
