NURSING SCHOOL HACKS: MIDTERM EDITION

How I got a 99% on my midterm exam!!

1. Review previous exams and read the rationales! Most likely there will be some repeated questions on your midterm. Rationales will help you, understand why a answer is correct and why the other answers listed were incorrect.

2. Do practice questions based on the topics your midterm will be on. For my school we have assignments but it has a self study section where we can customize our own questions based on topics/chapters.

3. Create your own study guide. Depending on how your instructor lectures or what they provide, you will include these in your study guide. Keep the study guide simple. And if you have any confusion always look to get clarification.

4. Quizlet is literally my holy grail in nursing school. One it can be taken with you everywhere if you have the app. I form hesi style questions for all things listed in my notes/powerpoints etc.

5. If you don’t understand something look it up, refer to your notes/powerpoints etc !

Focus on specific topics that the midterm will cover to ensure that your practice aligns with your upcoming exam. 3. **Comprehensive Study Guides**: Design a simple yet effective study guide based on lectures and healthcare topics. Clarity is key; include only essential information and clarify confusing points by referring back to notes. 4. **Mobile Learning Tools**: Platforms like Quizlet can be invaluable, allowing you to create flashcards and quizzes on-the-go. Utilizing mobile apps means you can study wherever you are, maximizing your time. 5. **Proactive Research**: If a subject matter is challenging, don’t hesitate to seek out additional resources.
