Game: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven
I've been a huge JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fan for ages, and finally getting deep into Eyes of Heaven has been such a blast! If you're looking for a game that truly celebrates the entire JoJo universe, this is definitely one to check out. It’s not just a fighting game; it's a love letter to Hirohiko Araki's incredible creation, allowing you to pit characters from all parts against each other in some truly bizarre and epic battles. What truly sets Eyes of Heaven apart for me are the incredible character interactions and the dynamic tag-team gameplay. You get to build your dream team from a massive roster, from Jonathan Joestar all the way to Josuke 8, and experiment with different pairings. The game really shines with its 'Unique team intros, DHA & Outros.' Seeing specific duos like Jonathan and Zeppeli (or 'JJ & WAZ' as I like to call them!) strike a pose together at the start of a match, or exchange banter during a fight, is pure fan service gold. Their 'JJ & WAZ INTRO' animations are iconic, and the way they execute their 'JJ & WAZ DHA' (Dual Heat Attack) is always a highlight, showcasing their combined Hamon power in spectacular fashion. Beyond the flashy moves, the attention to detail in the dialogues is what makes this game so special. I particularly crack up when Zeppeli tells Jonathan, "Your Hamon energy charging technique still needs a lot of work!" and Jonathan earnestly replies, "Roger that, Mr Zeppeli!" It’s those little moments that bring the characters to life and make you feel deeply immersed in their world. The 'JJ & WAZ OUTRO' poses after a victory are equally satisfying, capturing their dynamic perfectly. Gameplay-wise, it’s a 3D arena fighter, which means plenty of room for strategic movement, ranged attacks, and devastating close-quarters combat. Each character feels unique, with their own Stand abilities or Hamon techniques beautifully replicated. Mastering the Dual Heat Attacks and understanding which characters synergize best is key to dominating the battlefield. For new players, I'd recommend spending some time in practice mode to get a feel for your favorite characters' movesets and then diving into the story mode, which offers an original narrative that brings together heroes and villains from across the JoJo timelines. It’s an absolute must-play for any JoJo enthusiast, offering hours of bizarre fun and unforgettable moments!
