During my visit in 2023, I was awestruck by the medieval architecture, particularly the Alcázar fortress that stands tall over the city. The narrow winding streets are a delight to walk through, stopping occasionally to admire the intricate details of the ancient buildings. I highly recommend visiting the Toledo Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture that showcases stunning artworks and historical significance. Food lovers will be pleased to know that Toledo is home to some fantastic dining options. I enjoyed a meal at Txoko, where traditional Spanish dishes were prepared with a contemporary twist. The local gastronomy is not to be missed, particularly the marzipan, which originated from this region. As I explored, I realized how much walking contributes to understanding the city's essence. Each corner seemed steeped in history, with stories waiting to be uncovered. My experience in Toledo was not just a vacation but a journey through time that I will cherish forever. If you plan a trip to Spain, be sure to include Toledo in your itinerary!
