🌴 Destination of the Week: St. Thomas 🇻🇮

From personal experience, visiting St. Thomas is like stepping into a vibrant postcard filled with stunning turquoise waters and lush green hills. I highly recommend taking the time to visit both Magens Bay and Sapphire Beach early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Walking up the 99 Steps was a unique way to connect with St. Thomas's colonial past while providing fantastic vantage points over Charlotte Amalie. Fort Christian, with its centuries-old walls, is a must-see for anyone interested in Danish influence on the U.S. Virgin Islands. The food scene won me over completely. Sampling local dishes like jerk chicken and conch fritters at Gladys' Café gave me a real taste of Caribbean flavors, paired with friendly service that made it feel like a home away from home. For evening fun, Jolly Roger’s Restaurant & Pirate Bar combines great drinks and live music in a lively waterfront setting—perfect for winding down the day. For those who enjoy water activities, I took a memorable snorkeling trip to the nearby islands of St. John and the British Virgin Islands. The marine life is vibrant and the waters clear, ideal for both beginners and experienced snorkelers alike. St. Thomas also offers convenient access without the hassle of a passport for U.S. citizens, making it an easy and accessible getaway. Overall, St. Thomas blends stunning beaches, rich culture, historic landmarks, and lively hospitality. It’s an ideal destination whether you’re planning a romantic escape, a family adventure, or a fun girls trip.
