diy sea salt body scrub 🐚
this is my updated version of my sea salt scrub - I think it’s much more affordable and effective than the original but you tell me.
it helped make my bikini line smoother.
I’m SO grateful to have this idea come to me as I had issues with razor bumps for basically…ever.
I officially knew this scrub was working when my boyfriend commented on how much softer my skin felt, especially my booty cheeks 😅

T I P S:
📝 this recipe makes about 16 ounces of scrub.
📝 I prefer sea salt over sugar because it’s way less sticky and I feel like my skin has a better reaction to salt than sugar.
📝❗️only use sea salt, dead sea salt or pink himalayan sea salt for this body scrub. DO NOT use iodized salt or table salt as it’s HIGHLY irritating to skin.
📝 🔄 if your skin prefers sugar, the sea salt can be substituted with sugar. I’d recommend using brown sugar as it has more healing minerals than white sugar.
📝 adding sea moss gel is totally optional! if you choose just to use aloe vera gel, the results should be more or less the same.
📝❗️ the gel mix ratio is 3 parts aloe vera gel to 1 part sea moss and topped off with witch hazel.
📝 the scrub doesn’t require refrigeration despite having organic sea moss gel added - witch hazel helps preserve it.
📝 the scent is light and fresh and stays consistent until it’s finished.
📝 I only add 10 drops of argan oil so it doesn’t leave my skin greasy.
jojoba oil, grape seed oil and sunflower oil are ALL also excellent alternatives ✅
📝 I use this scrub all over my body but especially under my arms and my feet.
📝 though salt is more abrasive than sugar, I have sensitive skin and this scrub hasn’t been irritating at all.
📝 as I’m done scrubbing, I rinse off the salt and wash with soap afterwards. it’s not like sugar scrubs where you let the product sit and dissolve then rinsed off.
📝 I exfoliate with this scrub 3x/week for best results.

Making your own sea salt body scrub is a fantastic way to pamper your skin without breaking the bank. Not only is it affordable, but this scrub also harnesses the power of natural ingredients that are beneficial for your skin health. Sea salt, known for its natural detoxifying properties, contains 16 different minerals that help keep your skin nourished and revitalized. Incorporating ingredients such as sea moss and aloe vera adds an extra layer of hydration. Aloe vera is especially well-known for its soothing qualities, making it a great addition for those who struggle with irritation. Witch hazel toner, when mixed in, further reduces skin irritation by balancing oil levels, while argan oil locks in moisture without leaving a greasy residue. To make this scrub, mix together sea salt with the aloe vera gel and witch hazel, adjusting the consistency to your liking. Remember, stick to natural sea salts like Dead Sea or Himalayan salt, as they are gentler on the skin. For those who may prefer a sugar scrub, brown sugar can be a good alternative, although it might not offer the same detoxifying benefits as sea salt. This DIY scrub not only helps exfoliate dead skin but can also be used for targeted areas such as underarms and feet, making it versatile for all skincare routines. It’s best to exfoliate two to three times a week for optimal results. Enjoy the refreshing scent of your homemade scrub and the soft, smooth skin that follows! Whether you’re preparing for bikini season or simply indulging in self-care, this DIY body scrub is sure to impress.
