✨What I Read in a Week✨

... Read moreIn the busy world of reading, every page tells a story, and when you take a week to reflect on what you've consumed, it can be as fulfilling as the books themselves. This week's reading included varied genres with a particular focus on works by Colleen Hoover and Erin A. Craig. Notably, I dove into ‘Love at a Funeral and Other Awkward Conversations', examining themes of love, loss, and the complexities of human relationships. On Sunday, I wrapped up with a total of 166 pages, finishing Colleen Hoover's intriguing masterpiece which pulled on my heartstrings. Monday's reading continued with 138 pages of 'Ruin' by Erin A. Craig, a gripping tale that captivates with its emotional depth. As my week progressed, I balanced work with reading, squeezing in 84 pages on Tuesday despite my schedule. The varied pace of my reading week opened up conversations about different writing styles. For book lovers, structuring a reading week like this not only enhances your understanding of storytelling but also gives you a break from daily routines. Engaging in online communities like #booktok and #bookstagram further enriches this experience, allowing readers to connect and share insights, recommendations, and their thoughts on trending reads. Reflecting on my week, it's more than just tracking pages; it's about the connections made through books, the excitement of discussions, and the joy of stepping into the shoes of different characters, all while using these forums to broaden my reading horizons.

Layla was a good read. No one in my family enjoyed it bc it wasn’t Colleen’s usual style of writing ✍️ but I definitely liked it. The paranormal aspect of it was spot on. But I am very intrigued by House of Roots & Ruin🤔 Is it a dark fantasy read or more dark fantasy/romancy? What was your rating of that book?
