Bunny Tongue Lip Combo 🎀 (with products)

I was so excited to try this lip combo out, I saw this trending and needed to recreate 💘 I don’t have the sephora lip gloss that went trending for this lip but I did try to color match as best as I could! To make my lipstick a little lighter, I added a little bit of concealer to neutralize my base and added a gorgeous lip gloss by nyx which is the perfect baby pink. I hope you try this out :) #lippie #lipcombo #lemon8challenge #lippies #bunnytongue #affordablelipcombo @Lemon8 Beauty

This trend is all about achieving that soft, slightly blurred, and super natural-looking gradient lip, almost like a bunny's delicate tongue. It’s less about harsh lines and more about a juicy, plump finish that really enhances your natural lip shape. If you're wondering how to get that perfect 'bunny tongue lips' look, especially with a subtle brown base, let me share my full breakdown! First things first, prep is key! Make sure your lips are hydrated. A quick scrub can help, but a good lip balm is usually enough. Now, for the magic that creates that beautiful diffused effect. I start by neutralizing my natural lip color, especially if you have naturally pigmented lips like mine. A tiny dab of hydrating concealer on the edges of your lips, gently blended out, works wonders. This creates a clean canvas for the softer colors to pop. Next up, the liner! To get that subtle definition and a hint of the 'brown lips makeup' vibe that's also trending, I reach for a brown lip liner. Don't go too dark; think a soft, warm brown that's close to your natural lip shadow. I lightly line just the very edge of my lips, and then gently feather it inwards slightly, focusing on the cupid's bow and the center of the bottom lip. The goal isn't a harsh outline, but a soft, almost imperceptible border. Then comes the main color. I opt for a light brown lipstick or a nude that has a hint of warmth. Apply this mostly to the center of your lips and blend it out towards the liner you just applied. You want a seamless transition. This is where the 'bunny tongue lipstick' really comes into play, giving that soft, muted base. If you want it even lighter, you can dab a tiny bit more concealer over the lipstick in the center and blend. And for the final touch, the gloss! This is what gives you that irresistible juicy, plump look. I swear by a good pink milky lip gloss. The one I used that's a perfect affordable dupe for the trending Sephora gloss is from NYX – it’s a gorgeous baby pink that just melts into the other colors. I apply this mainly to the very center of my lips, pressing my lips together gently to distribute it. This creates that beautiful gradient, making your lips look fuller and super soft. This combo is amazing because it's so versatile. If you have a deeper skin tone, you might want to pick a slightly darker brown liner and a more saturated nude lipstick to ensure the colors show up. For lighter skin tones, you can go even softer with the browns. The key is blending and building layers until you get that perfect, delicate 'bunny tongue' effect. Give it a try, you'll be amazed at how simple it is to achieve such a chic and trending look!
