Okay, so you've seen a glimpse of my day, but there's always so much more that goes into a "school day in my life"! For those wondering what 'going to school' really feels like, let me spill some more details about my routine and the little things that make up 'my school life'. My mornings usually start with picking out an outfit – today it was a comfy white t-shirt and black pants, perfect for sitting in classes all day. I always make sure my braided hair is neat, and my go-to gold necklace is on, it's a small detail but makes me feel put-together. That mirror selfie before heading out is a must, right? Even though this particular day was "ONLY HALF OF THE DAY," every moment counts! Walking through the school halls (you saw my white sneakers on the tiled floor!) can be a journey in itself. First block is usually a blur, but then it's "Otw to lunch!" at 12:25 pm. School lunch can be hit or miss, but today's hot dog and small salad, with a water bottle by my side, wasn't too bad. What do you guys usually have for lunch at school? After refueling, it's "Going to my next block!" I always carry a bag with my essentials. My "English class" at 1:00 pm is usually my favorite – I love diving into stories and writing. You can probably imagine my desk setup: an open textbook, a notebook filled with handwritten notes, and my colorful highlighters ready for action. It's where I feel most in my element. Then comes the "LAST CLASS! My favorite class!!" – I can't even tell you how much I enjoy it, it's what gets me through the afternoon. Between classes, a quick "Bathroom Break" is essential for a little refresh and another mirror selfie, of course! We also have "enrichment" at 2:20 pm, which is a great time to catch up on assignments or explore something new. It's amazing how fast the day flies by, even when it feels like a long stretch. Finally, it's "Otw TO MY TRUCK" in the asphalt parking lot, ready to head home. That feeling of "Going Home Byee!" is always such a relief after a busy day. Managing all these classes and activities can be a lot. My top tip for anyone navigating their own school day is to stay organized with your notebook and highlighters.
