Fresh Tomatillo salsa verde

I pound fresh Tomatillas ( just peel off the dry layer that are on some of them & wash and quarter them) 3-4 Jalepeno stem cut off and quartered

1 Serrano pepper stem off and quartered

1/2 green bell pepper chopped

2-3 cloves garlic minced

Fresh cilantro coarse chopped ( you can use parsley if you hate cilantro)

2 or 3 tablespoons white vinegar or any mild fancy white vinegar you like

Put all of this in your food processor and chop it til it looks like salsa I like mine with little bits that crunch then season with salt to taste out it in a jar and then you can use as a dip or spread it on any taco or enchilada or tostado

... Read moreSalsa verde is a versatile Mexican sauce that pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes. Made from fresh tomatillos, which lend a tart flavor, this salsa is not only easy to prepare but also packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Tomatillos are an excellent source of vitamin C and K, which promote healthy skin and bone health. In addition to tomatillos, the spiciness of jalapeno and serrano peppers can be adjusted to suit your taste. If you prefer a milder version, you can reduce the amount of jalapenos or remove the seeds before blending. This salsa can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, making it a convenient option for quick meals. For added depth of flavor, consider roasting the tomatillos and peppers before blending them, which will enhance their smokiness. This salsa verde also works beautifully as a dressing for salads or a marinade for grilled chicken or fish. Whether you serve it as a dip with tortilla chips or drizzle it over your favorite Mexican dishes, this fresh tomatillo salsa verde is sure to impress at your next gathering!
