Oatmeal “pancakes”
One of my favorite breakfast meals to make are oatmeal pancakes! This is how I do it:
1/2cup oatmeal
2-3 egg whites
Sprinkle of salt
2 tsp water
🥣 Mix together and let sit for 5 minutes so that the oats get soft (or until oats get soft)
🥣 pour a bit into a pan to form a circle like a pancake (this makes 2 “pancakes”
🥣 I personally prefer jelly in between the slices for myself- I’ve also used Greek yogurt for extra protein and also peanut butter and jelly.
🥣 Cut up whatever fruit you want and add on top, sprinkle of cinnamon and you’re done!
I usually drink iced coffee with it your a protein shake. This helps my protein goals
Oatmeal pancakes are not just a tasty breakfast option; they also offer numerous health benefits. Rich in fiber, oats can help you feel full longer, which is beneficial for weight management. The use of egg whites in this recipe increases the protein content without adding excessive calories. You can personalize your oatmeal pancakes by including fruits such as bananas or berries, which not only enhance flavor but also add essential vitamins and antioxidants. Additionally, using yogurt or peanut butter as toppings provides healthy fats and more protein, making your meal more balanced. Incorporating cinnamon is another great way to boost the flavor while also helping to regulate blood sugar levels. This breakfast is perfect for those who are busy and looking for a quick but nutritional start to their day. For those who are exploring healthy eating or fitness goals, oatmeal pancakes are an excellent choice. As a convenient option for busy mornings, you can prepare the base ahead and store it in the fridge. Simply heat and add your preferred toppings when ready to eat. This makes breakfast not only nutritious but also time-efficient. Experiment with different toppings and add-ins to keep your breakfast exciting and satisfying.
