MY FAV UPPER BODY MACHINE WORKOUTS💪🏽

heyy yall here are some of my machine only favorite upper body workouts that helped with those back and arm gains 💪🏽

-First we got seated cable rows. These are great for hitting those back muscles and not too difficult to do either especially for beginners!

- Second, lat pull down! Don’t ever skip the lat pull down on upper body days!! These are also easy and really target those lats to help build a stronger back

- Lastly, assisted pull ups! I love this machine since It always humbles me and reminds me I cannot do a regular pull up lol!! This is great however for introducing your body to that movement and trains you to build strength in your upper body to hit a pull up!

I love to do these all together and it helps me build a more toned and stronger upper body giving me definition and strength, try these out and lmk what you think!!

... Read moreIt’s so exciting to hear you’re focusing on your upper body! As someone who used to feel a bit intimidated by the gym, especially when it came to upper body work, I totally get wanting effective, machine-based routines. The seated cable rows, lat pulldowns, and assisted pull ups are fantastic choices, and they’ve definitely been staples in my journey to building a stronger back and more defined arms. But let me share a little secret that really leveled up my upper body days: adding face pulls! You might be wondering what those are, but trust me, they’re a game-changer, especially for women looking to improve posture and hit those often-neglected upper back and rear shoulder muscles. I use a cable machine for these, setting the pulley at about head height. You grab the rope attachment with an overhand grip, step back, and pull the rope towards your face, flaring your elbows high and squeezing your shoulder blades together. It feels amazing, and it’s incredible for shoulder health and that toned upper body look we all strive for! I usually aim for 3 sets of 12-15 reps, focusing on slow, controlled movements. When I started incorporating these machine workouts, I noticed a huge difference not just in strength, but in how my clothes fit and my overall confidence. Building a strong upper body isn't just about aesthetics; it really helps with everyday tasks and prevents injuries. Thinking about achieving that 'gym physique' can be a great motivator, and these exercises are fundamental. For anyone just starting out, remembering proper form is key. With seated cable rows, really focus on pulling with your back muscles, not just your arms. Keep your chest up and squeeze your shoulder blades. For lat pulldowns, think about pulling the bar down towards your chest using your lats, not swinging your body. And those assisted pull ups? They’re brilliant for progressively building the strength needed for a full pull-up. Don't rush them; focus on controlling the movement both up and down. I remember when I couldn't even do one, and now I'm getting closer to unassisted! To really maximize your gains, I always recommend a good warm-up before you start – maybe some arm circles and light cardio – and a cool-down stretch afterwards. Consistency is truly your best friend here. Don't get discouraged if you don't see results overnight. Keep showing up, pushing yourself safely, and celebrating every small victory. These machine workouts are incredibly effective for women, and they’re so accessible. Give them a try, stay consistent, and you'll be amazed at the strength and definition you build!
