I saw God.
June 1st, 2026. 10: 29am.
I played this English poet in early January 2026, and I thought about it myself, but I deleted the post. Today, I looked for a book to buy until I found your book. The author is Lucas Jones, a book called I still believe in miracles.
"I saw God on the train. But pretended that I didn't. So I sat far away from the seat he was sitting in. And then he got up. I thought probably to piss. And he noticed me there and said,
'Oi, oi, what are you saying? You're hiding from me. '
I said, 'Ahh mate, nah. Just a comfier seat.'
And he looked at me like I was a kid covered in chocolate surrounded by wrapper saying don't know what happened. And he goes, 'Come on then mate. I've got a few minutes. Tell me what's wrong but don't fuck around with it.'
And it shocked me then that it fit in one sentence. I said, 'I just think Heaven is a stupid incentive. Like what a shit life for a beautiful death? And those who are evil can suddenly repent. Like a killer or nonce can live like a monster. Then right at the end say I'm sorry dear God, sir. And end up in heaven right there with my Nana. She's doing some knitting. He's waving a hammer. It's like Jesus God what a horrible deal. '
And he goes, 'Yeah, it's fucked. I know how you feel.'
I'm like, 'Mate you're the one spinning the wheel.'
And he goes, 'Listen, I'll tell you a secret. All of that stuff mat.I didn't speak it like the old joke says about liars and men.If God wrote the book, why are you holding the pen? Nah the rules I wrote, I wrote on your heart. The truth I spoke, you've known it from the beginning. Be kind and don't harm. It isn't that hard. Heaven is just life if you are doing your part. You want white clouds and endless skies? '
'Err, yeah. '
'Look around. You don't have to die. I know, probably bring you some pain, but to think of the dead as just dust in a grave. But humans can't comprehend it. What I say life is a cloud and death is the rain. '
And I got to my stop and felt kind of mad. I'm not sure he answered the questions I had. Then I looked up and saw the sun risking.
He said, 'You're looking for Heaven, but you're the one hiding.' "
- Lucas Jones.
The poem was I saw God on the train. And there was another similar chapter: I met God at the supermarket. Read the search for the meaning of life in the midst of difficult situations. Humanity relies on moral, ethical, humanitarian feelings. No matter what bad events, choose a way to believe in the good side. The side that uses love to guide, not hate. Teach hope.
"I met God at the supermarket. He said.
'You alright? 'I said.
'Yeah, you? 'He goes,' What's on your mind? '
I said, 'Just getting some food.' But I thought he could tell. 'cos I looked kinda sad. He said,' Go on then, ask. '
I said, 'Why are things bad? Like, why is it hard? Like, sometimes it's shit. Sometimes it's like, oh my God, is this it?'
He says, 'I can tell you that now, but you won't like the answer.' "
