Stitch Junk Case 💙💓
OMG, you guys, I finally did it! I made my very own Stitch junk case and I am absolutely obsessed! 💙✨ If you’ve been scrolling through Lemon8 and seeing all those gorgeous, maximalist phone cases covered in charms, stickers, and little treasures, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. A 'junk case' is basically a super personalized phone case where you let your creativity run wild, decorating it with all your favorite bits and bobs. And for me, that had to be Stitch! Why Stitch, you ask? Well, who doesn't adore that mischievous, adorable alien from Lilo & Stitch? His cute, playful vibe just screams fun, and he fits perfectly with the whimsical nature of a junk case. I mean, imagine carrying a little piece of paradise in your hand, full of blue, pink, and all things cute! Making your own Stitch junk case is actually way easier than it looks, and it’s such a fun DIY project. Here’s how I did mine, so maybe it can inspire you to create your own masterpiece! First things first, you need to gather your supplies. You'll definitely need a clear phone case – this is your blank canvas! Then, the fun part: charms, stickers, cabochons, glitter, pearls, chains – anything that sparks joy and fits your Stitch theme. I found tons of adorable Stitch-themed resin charms, little Lilo & Stitch stickers, some cute blue and pink pearls, and even tiny alien-shaped glitter. Don't forget E6000 glue (it's super strong for crafts!) and maybe a clear sealant spray to protect your work. Once you have everything, lay it all out and play around with the arrangement. This is where you get to be an artist! I started by placing my main Stitch charms, then filled in the gaps with smaller stickers and pearls. Don't be afraid to layer things for that true 'junk case' aesthetic. I loved adding little blue hearts and pink star charms around my main Stitch pieces. When you're happy with your design, start gluing! A little goes a long way with E6000. Apply it carefully to the back of each piece and press it firmly onto the case. For smaller items like glitter or tiny pearls, you can apply a thin layer of glue to an area and then sprinkle them on. Once everything is glued down, let it cure for at least 24-48 hours. Seriously, don't rush this part – you want your treasures to stay put! After the glue is fully dry, I like to give mine a coat of clear sealant spray. This adds an extra layer of protection and gives it a nice, glossy finish. Just make sure to do this in a well-ventilated area. Wondering where to find all these cute bits? I usually hit up Etsy, Amazon, and local craft stores like Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Sometimes, even dollar stores have surprising finds! For Stitch-specific items, online marketplaces are your best bet. You can also repurpose old jewelry or toys. Taking care of your junk case is pretty simple. Try to avoid letting it get wet, and if a charm ever feels loose, a tiny dab of E6000 can fix it right up. It’s a piece of art, so treat it with a little love! I absolutely adore how my Stitch junk case turned out. It’s such a conversation starter and makes me smile every time I pick up my phone. If you're looking for a creative outlet and want to personalize your tech, seriously give a DIY junk case a try. It’s so rewarding to create something totally unique that reflects your personality. Go on, unleash your inner crafter!
