This approach prevents anxiety from escalating, a common cause of intrusive thoughts. Another valuable insight from seasoned divers is accepting that fear is natural but choosing not to engage with negative thoughts. Instead, they channel their energy into perfecting their technical skills and staying mechanically precise. Practical exercises on mental resilience training and controlled breathing have also been game changers for me during underwater operations. Lastly, discussing mental challenges openly within dive teams fosters support and shared coping strategies, reducing the stigma around intrusive thoughts.
