I don’t know everything about God, but I know I’ve been in a training season.

I used to look at every dumbbell to see how heavy it was. Now, I just pick it up. I’ve been training for this.

Maybe that’s what God has been doing with me all along. Every struggle was a rep. Every disappointment added resistance. Every setback built endurance.

Life may get heavy, but I don’t carry it alone. God is faithful. — 1 Corinthians 10:13

So I’m done asking how heavy the next weight is.

I’m picking it up.

The weight changed. But so did I.

Whatever comes next—God got me. 🙏🏾💪🏾

When I first started, every challenge seemed daunting, much like staring down a heavy dumbbell and wondering if I could lift it. But as I persevered, those challenges became manageable reps, and I found myself stronger and more resilient. What resonates deeply is the biblical truth shared in 1 Corinthians 10:13—that we are never given more than we can bear, and God faithfully provides an escape or a way to endure. This perspective transforms how I approach difficult times. Instead of fearing the weight of upcoming trials or setbacks, I remind myself that these experiences are shaping endurance and character. It’s like in a gym where the weights become heavier over time, but so does the lifter’s capability. Faith serves as both the motivation and the strength to keep going. The anxiety, rejection, and failures I’ve faced were all part of the ‘weight’ I had to lift, but they also prepared me for greater challenges. Living with this mindset means I’m learning to trust the process and the One who oversees it. There’s comfort in knowing that I’m never lifting these burdens alone—God’s presence is constant. Even when the pressure feels unbearable, faith shifts my mindset from questions like, "How heavy is the next weight?" to statements like, "I’m ready to pick it up." In daily life, this helps me push through stress at work, personal hardships, or moments of doubt. Each obstacle teaches patience and strength, mirroring the physical training in a gym but rooted deeply in spiritual growth. This blend of faith and endurance encourages me to keep moving forward, confident that whatever comes next, I’m equipped to handle it because God has been training me all along.
