SHOCKING Gua Sha Results
Okay, so you've probably seen Gua Sha all over your feed, and like me, you might be wondering if it's truly worth adding to your skincare routine. I'm here to spill the tea on my own experience with Gua Sha, sharing what it is, how I use it, and what real benefits I've personally noticed. First off, what even is Gua Sha? It's an ancient traditional Chinese medicine technique, originally used on the body for muscle pain and stiffness. But lately, it's gained massive popularity in the facial skincare world. Essentially, it involves using a smooth, flat stone (often jade or rose quartz) to gently scrape or stroke your skin. The idea is to improve circulation, promote lymphatic drainage, and release tension, leading to a more sculpted and radiant complexion. I remember feeling a bit intimidated at first, but once I got the hang of it, it became a relaxing ritual. When I first started incorporating Gua Sha, my main goal was to reduce morning puffiness and see if it could help with facial contouring. I typically use a fan-shaped or heart-shaped stone, which I keep in the fridge for an extra cooling sensation. I always start with clean skin and apply a generous amount of facial oil or serum – this is super important to ensure the tool glides smoothly without tugging at your skin. Trust me, you don't want to do this on dry skin! My routine usually goes something like this: I start by gently stroking upwards on my neck to help with lymphatic drainage, then move to my jawline, sweeping from the center of my chin out towards my ears. For my cheeks, I use longer, upward strokes from the nose outwards. Around my eyes, I use the smaller curve of the tool with very light pressure, moving outwards. And for my forehead, I stroke upwards from my brows to my hairline. I usually repeat each stroke about 5-10 times. It feels incredibly soothing, almost like a mini facial massage. Now, for the results! While it's not a magic wand, I've definitely noticed some visible changes. My face looks less puffy in the mornings, especially around my jawline and under-eyes. There's a subtle lift and contouring effect that makes my cheekbones and jawline appear a bit more defined. My skin also seems to have a healthier glow, which I attribute to the improved circulation. Plus, I find it incredibly relaxing and it helps release tension I tend to hold in my jaw. It's become a lovely self-care moment at the end of my day or when I need a quick pick-me-up in the morning. If you're consistent, you might just be surprised by your own Gua Sha transformation!

Something went sideways here, clearly the face. But, what is going on with the lips, especially the top lip😳😎
