... Read moreIn the realm of skincare and beauty content, it’s clear that the majority of creators and their audiences are women. This naturally results in most educational and reactive skincare videos featuring female creators. However, it is important to recognize that misinformation in this space can have serious consequences, including wasting time on ineffective routines or potentially harmful advice. As a skincare enthusiast who follows dermatologists and content creators alike, I’ve noticed a recurring skepticism toward male voices in this industry. Some viewers perceive male skincare experts as having ulterior motives or biases, especially when critiquing female creators. From my experience, such doubts are often unfounded; many male dermatologists build their platforms around evidence-based information aimed at empowering everyone, regardless of gender. One compelling aspect is how dermatologists and skincare experts—regardless of gender—focus on debunking myths and correcting misinformation. Their goal is to help consumers make informed decisions about their skincare routines, promoting healthier skin and preventing damage. For example, many common skincare myths—such as the necessity of harsh exfoliation or quick fixes for acne—are often challenged by professionals with clinical knowledge and years of experience. Additionally, the skincare industry is uniquely positioned because over 90% of consumers identify as women, making it even more critical for content creators to communicate responsibly. Whether it’s advice on managing sensitive skin, understanding product ingredients, or addressing concerns like hyperpigmentation and aging, accurate guidance benefits not just women but all users interested in skincare. I find myself appreciating platforms that are willing to have honest dialogues about these gender dynamics. When experts openly invite discussion about why certain demographics dominate the content space, it fosters a more inclusive and understanding environment. Male dermatologists and skincare educators who use their expertise to support everyone exemplify how inclusivity and professionalism can coexist. Ultimately, the key takeaway for anyone consuming skincare content is to seek out knowledgeable voices backed by science and experience. Whether the creator is male or female should be secondary to the credibility and reliability of the information they provide. By focusing on high-quality content and constructive discussion, the skincare community can continue to grow in an informed and respectful manner.

I would not care if this honest openness comes from a straight man or a gay man. It does not bother me. I truly appreciate it hearing the TRUTH come out and I DO see that it OS majority of women that post on beauty and lie up their ass just like they lie on TiKTok to sell the skin line products just so they can make their $$ commission. I’m a truth seeker and do not care who it’s coming from. I’m grateful YOU, as a Doctor are out here calling out, speaking TRUTH. THANK YOU! I love you for that and love your sense of humor! You’re awesome!! 🤍🥳
