Skincare for the body made easy 🫡 if you’re a visual person like me, this can be super helpful! #dermtok #dermguru
Hey skincare fam! You know how sometimes we focus so much on our faces we forget our bodies need love too? I definitely used to, but I've discovered some amazing ways to tackle common body skin woes. If you’re battling issues like bumpy arms, stubborn stretch marks, or just perpetually dry skin, I'm here to share what's truly worked for me. Let's talk about bumpy arms, often known as keratosis pilaris (KP). It’s super common and can feel frustrating. My secret weapon for smooth arms has been glycolic acid. It's an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently exfoliates the skin, helping to unblock those tiny hair follicles that cause the bumps. I love using a lotion for bumps on arms that contains glycolic acid or lactic acid. Look for body lotions or creams with around 10-15% AHA. For an extra boost, I also swear by using a best body wash for keratosis pilaris that has salicylic acid or glycolic acid a few times a week. It makes a huge difference in texture! The key is consistency and gentle exfoliation, not harsh scrubbing. Next up, stretch marks. Whether they’re new or old, they can be a real confidence dampener. While the OCR mentions Tretinoin for stretch marks, which is fantastic for stimulating collagen and improving their appearance (always consult a doctor for prescription strength!), I've also found glycolic acid for stretch marks to be a helpful addition. Used over time, it can improve skin texture and tone. For those particularly tricky stretch marks on underarm, I prioritize hydration and gentle care. Keeping the skin moisturized can help improve elasticity, and a combination of gentle exfoliation and ingredients like Tretinoin (under medical guidance) can gradually soften their look. Remember, patience is key here; results aren't overnight but absolutely possible. Now, for those rough, scaly heels and generally dry skin. My feet used to be a nightmare until I discovered Urea! This ingredient is a humectant and a mild exfoliant, meaning it attracts moisture to the skin and helps shed dead cells. Paired with Petrolatum, which acts as an occlusive barrier locking moisture in, it's a dream team for cracked heels. I usually apply a thick cream with these ingredients before bed and put on cotton socks. For overall dry skin, I always reach for products rich in Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid. Ceramides are essential lipids that form your skin's barrier, and boosting them helps repair and strengthen that barrier, while hyaluronic acid draws moisture into the skin, keeping it plump and hydrated. I’ve found that a good body cream with these ingredients, applied right after showering when my skin is still a bit damp, makes my skin feel incredibly soft and supple all day long. Sometimes, even a good old-fashioned Kojic acid or Lactic acid cream can help with overall skin brightness and texture, especially on areas prone to dullness or discoloration. For those wondering about Coracode Pomada, while I haven't personally used that specific brand, I've found that any rich, occlusive balm or pomada that contains ingredients like petrolatum, shea butter, or even urea can be incredibly beneficial for creating a protective barrier and deeply nourishing very dry, rough, or compromised skin areas, helping them to heal and feel much softer. It's all about finding what works best for your skin's unique needs!

Unpopular opinion but stretch marks are so so beautiful
