press on nails prep🤍

the key to long lasting nails is a good nail prep!

first i file down my natural nails a bit, after that i file the press on nail on the inside so it has grip, then i use a acetone pad to clean and dry my nails, after they’re dry i apply them with glue but make sure you hold the nail down and don’t just put it on there and go on to the next, after they’re all on i file the press ons so they’re not scratchy, after that I clean up around the nail with the acetone pad and then I’m good to go;) @Lemon8 Beauty

Read moreFrom my personal experience, taking the time to properly prep your natural nails before applying press on nails truly makes all the difference in how long they last and how natural they look. Beyond just filing and cleaning, I’ve found that gently pushing back your cuticles with a wooden stick can help create a smoother surface for the glue to bond. Using an acetone pad is great not only for cleaning but also for removing any oil or residue that could cause the press ons to lift prematurely. After applying the glue, holding each nail firmly in place for at least 30 seconds can significantly improve adhesion. Rushing this step often results in nails popping off faster. One trick I’ve learned is to lightly buff the inside of the press on nails using a fine nail buffer. This roughens the surface just enough to help the glue grip better without damaging the nail. Once all press ons are applied, filing them down to a comfortable shape prevents snagging and gives a more natural appearance. Cleaning up excess glue with an acetone pad after filing helps maintain a neat finish. Lastly, avoid submerging your hands in water for extended periods soon after application to let the glue set properly. This routine has personally helped my press on nails stay intact for a full week or longer, even with daily activities.
