1st ultrasound
I got my ultrasound of my 3rd baby also rainbow baby 🥺 I’m almost 8 weeks, I had this at exactly 7 weeks. Everything is going good so far and I’m praying it will stay that way.
It’s a high risk pregnancy due to me having Lupus so praying baby will stay healthy.
The moment you see your baby for the very first time on an ultrasound screen is truly unforgettable, especially during an early pregnancy scan around 7 or 8 weeks. It’s often the first tangible proof that your little one is really growing inside you! When you go for an early scan like a 7-week pregnancy scan, your doctor or sonographer will be looking for a few key things. You'll typically see a gestational sac, which is the fluid-filled structure surrounding the developing embryo. Within that, there's often a yolk sac providing nourishment, and then, the tiny fetal pole – your baby! And the most incredible part? Seeing or hearing that flickering heartbeat. It's a truly emotional experience to get that first glimpse of life you're nurturing. For many, this early ultrasound is also about dating the pregnancy precisely and ensuring everything is developing as expected. If you're having an 8-week pregnancy ultrasound, the baby will have grown a little more, and details might be slightly clearer. These early baby sonography photos become cherished keepsakes, capturing that very first hello. For those of us on a high-risk pregnancy journey, like myself with Lupus, these early scans carry even more significance. They are crucial for monitoring the baby's development and ensuring a healthy start. It provides so much reassurance when you're facing additional challenges. Don’t hesitate to ask your medical team any questions you have during these appointments; they are there to help calm your worries. And for anyone carrying a rainbow baby, like my experience, this first ultrasound is a profound mix of joy, hope, and often, a touch of anxiety. It’s a beautiful milestone after previous loss, a symbol of new beginnings. It’s okay to feel all these emotions – they are a testament to your strength and love. Preparing for your ultrasound is usually simple. Sometimes, they ask you to have a full bladder for better imaging, so check with your clinic beforehand. Mostly, it’s about relaxing as much as possible and being ready to witness a miracle. These early pictures of a baby in the womb are not just medical images; they are the start of your unique story with your little one. Embrace every moment!

Praying for you 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I’m 4w5d with my 🌈 baby 🥰
