Interchangeable leopard outfits
WHAT YOU NEED:
🐆 leopard tank top.
⭐️I got this one off Amazon. It’s a mesh material. Honestly because of the print, I don’t have to wear a bra under this, but I do choose to. You can wear with a black skirt or even black jeans, which I didn’t show the pictures.
🐆 maxi skirt
⭐️ I got this off of Peppermayo. I wear this with that black top that I got off of REVOLVE, it would also be adorable with the black sweater if it’s really cold out.
🐆 leopard shorts
⭐️ I got these from Nordstrom rack. They’re actually part of a pajama set! I love these shorts so much though! Wearing them with this big black sweater is so fall cozy! Pair with some boots (honestly honestly a fun colored boot, like a denim, red, cowgirl boot, something like that would be such a vibe)
🖤 Skirt
⭐️ I got this off Peppermayo. It works so perfect interchangeably with every top in this photo 10 out of 10 highly recommend you get a stable black skirt for fall.
🖤 sweater
⭐️ I got this from Zara last year. A big black sweater like this is an absolute essential. I prefer the turtleneck style personally, but anything will do.
🖤 tank top
⭐️ I got this off of REVOLVE. Trust me you’re gonna want something like this cause there are those fall days where it’s very hot! Especially when you go pumpkin picking. This goes with every bottom!
... Read moreHey fashion lovers! You know how much I adore a good capsule wardrobe, especially when it involves a touch of wild style. If you've been eyeing leopard print but aren't sure how to make it super versatile, you're in the right place! I've been experimenting with my favorite leopard pieces, and I'm here to spill the tea on how to make them work hard for your closet.
First off, why leopard? It's not just a trend; it's practically a neutral that adds instant chic and personality. It can be dressy, casual, edgy, or sophisticated – it all depends on how you style it! The key to making it capsule-friendly is pairing it with solid, foundational pieces, especially black. This creates a balance that allows the leopard to pop without feeling overwhelming.
Let's dive into some more styling ideas beyond what I shared:
The Leopard Tank Top: This gem isn't just for warm fall days. Imagine it under a sleek black blazer for a polished office look, or layered with a chunky knit cardigan for extra warmth and texture. For a casual vibe, I've even tossed a denim jacket over it with some high-waisted black jeans – instant cool! Don't forget, a simple black mini skirt from your existing wardrobe can transform this tank into a perfect evening out ensemble, especially with those sharp black heels I love.
The Leopard Maxi Skirt: Oh, the possibilities! While I love it with a simple black tank, try pairing it with a graphic band tee tied at the waist for an unexpected edgy look. For cooler weather, that cozy black sweater or even a cream-colored knit would look divine. And for shoes? Beyond ankle boots, think crisp white sneakers for a relaxed weekend outfit, or even some knee-high black boots for a more dramatic statement.
Leopard Shorts: These aren't just for lounging! I've styled mine with an oversized black button-down shirt, partially tucked in, and some sleek loafers for a sophisticated casual look. For a playful touch, a bright colored top (think emerald green or mustard yellow) can really make the leopard pop, especially when you're transitioning from summer to fall.
The Essential Black Pieces:
My absolute workhorse is the black skirt. Whether it's a mini, midi, or maxi, it grounds any leopard print. I've found that a good quality black skirt can be dressed up with a silk blouse and those elegant black heels for a fancy dinner, or down with a simple cotton tee and sneakers. It's truly a chameleon!
And that big black sweater? A true fall/winter MVP. While I adore the turtleneck, any oversized black knit works wonders. Try belting it over your leopard shorts for a tunic-like effect, or wear it casually half-tucked into your black maxi skirt. It's the ultimate cozy companion.
Accessorizing Your Leopard Look: Don't forget the power of accessories! A structured black bag or a sleek crescent-shaped shoulder bag can pull an entire outfit together. For shoes, beyond my beloved black ankle boots, consider injecting a pop of color with a fun boot, as I mentioned, or keep it classic with black pointed-toe flats. Delicate gold jewelry always complements leopard print beautifully without competing with the pattern.
Building a leopard print capsule wardrobe means you're investing in pieces that are not only stylish but also incredibly versatile. You'll be amazed at how many outfits you can create with just a few key items. Start with one or two leopard pieces you truly love, like a tank or a skirt, and build your black basics around them. Happy styling!
